PURPOSE:To make an electric charge remaining area highly accurately coincide with an image area by controlling a moving means so that the border between ON light emitting elements and OFF light emitting elements coincides with a prescribed side of the image area on the basis of a calculated result. CONSTITUTION:The 1st electric charge removing means 6 is provided with a lamp or a light emitting diode (LED) and fixed on a frame. The 2nd charge removing member 7 has structure obtained by arraying in row plural light emitting elements 8 consisting of LEDs of the like on a rod-like base 9 with intervals and the elements 8 are arranged oppositely to the surface of a photosensitive body 5 in parallel with its axial direction and allowed to be optionally moved in the direction rectangular to the scanning direction of the photosensitive body 5, i.e. the array direction of the elements 8. Consequently, the border between the ON light emitting elements and the OFF light emitting elements in the charge removing means can be always positioned on the prescribed side of the image area. The home position of the charge removing means can be set up by a rewriting means after assembling the device. |
