This invention is concerned with new beta -[2-(halogenobenzyl)-phenoxy]-ethylamine derivatives of the general formula (I) wherein R represents a C1-C8-alkyl group having a linear or branched hydrocarbon chain, R1 and R2, which may identical or different, represent each a C1-C4-alkyl-group, and Ar represents a polychlorophenyl group of the formula (II) (in which Y1 is 4-Cl, Y2 is H or Cl, and Y3 is H or Cl, at least one of the Y2 and Y3 being Cl); and their addition salts. These new compounds are useful as pharmaceuticals.
