<p>PURPOSE:To heat uniformly a tube etc. even in a narrow underground groove by a method wherein a semicircularly curved plate along the outside of the lower half part of the tube, the sheet covering the outside of a work is laid underground to provide a space into which flame and hot air are blown. CONSTITUTION:A work 1 such as a steel pipe is covered with a thermally shrinkable tube or sheet 2 and a semicircularly curved plate 3 is laid underground so that a space is generated between the semicircularly curved plate 3 along the outside of the lower half part of the work 1 and the tube or the sheet 2. Side plates 10 are fitted to a pair of a right and a left arbor 8, 8' and as the tube 2 etc. continues to shrink, the side plate approaches to the work surface to expand the space between the side plate 10 and the semicircularly curved plate 3 and pass flame and hot air, etc. to the lower part.</p> |
