<p>PURPOSE:To suppress shorting due to electrostatic damage of X and Y wirings in a display screen and to improve sharply the yield of production by forming an electrostatic damage preventing wire on the periphery of the display screen. CONSTITUTION:The electrostatic damage preventing wire 7 is arranged among the display screen 4, the pads 5 of the X wires 1, 1' and the pads 6 of the Y wires 2. If the wire 7 is formed in the same process as the X wires 1, it is necessary to electrically insulate the X wires 1' from the wire 7, so that the wire 7 is formed in the same process as the Y wires 2. Thereby, contacts 8 are formed to connect the X wires 1, 1' electrically with the pads 5. Similarly, contacts 9 are formed to connect the Y wires electrically with the pads 6. Although the wire 7 is electrically one wire, the wire 7 may be branched to plural wires at respective crossing parts 10 with the X wires 1' and the Y wires 2 when required.</p> |
