FORMATION OF ALLOY LAYER BY CO2 LAYER

摘要

PURPOSE:To easily form an alloy layer on the surface of an Al alloy material and to form the defectless alloy layer having adequate characteristics by disposing alloying powder contg.Ti and alloy element on the surface of an Al alloy base metal and irradiating CO2 laser thereto. CONSTITUTION:The alloying powder contg. Ti and alloy element is disposed on the surface of the Al alloy base metal 1 and argon as shielding gas is released from the tip of a laser gun 6. The laser gun 6 is scanned while the molten part is shielded by the argon. The surface of the alloying powder layer 5 and the alloy base metal 1 is melted to form beads 8. Since the alloying powder contains Ti, said powder has high electric resistivity hence high laser absorptivity. The alloying powder is thus easily melted to form the alloy layer.
