A novel piece of utility furniture is proposed which has a horizontal work top (1) and holding, storing and/or stacking fixtures (6, 7) above the work top (1). These fixtures are supported in a freely accessible manner from all sides by a column (5) extending perpendiculary upwards from the work top. The work top is preferably supported by a plurality of hollow bodies (2), to which the column passed through the work top is also fastened, via which the shaped bodies are connected to one another. <IMAGE>
