The invention relates to an appliance for use in the production of balls of dough-based (bread-based) fish bait, the appliance in principle comprising three basic components, namely a substantially U-shaped handle, a removable cylinder support which is attached to the free ends of the handle, and a piston support which can move within the handle and is spring-preloaded towards the extended position of the pistons. In a row of parallel piston/cylinder assemblies, the pistons can be displaced between a retracted position, in which each open cylinder forms a chamber of predetermined volume, and an extended position, in which the free end face of the piston is located at least at the free front edge of the cylinder. The invention furthermore relates to a cover for use with grooved rolling boards for producing dough balls, which cover can be attached to the bottom of a rolling board and, in order to cover the grooves, can be placed on the top side of the rolling board. <IMAGE>
