PURPOSE:To get rid of the possibility of a rattling noise out of a seat at the time of starting as well as to improve a quality feeling, by pressing a latch to a notch of an upper bracket with proper pressure by means of a spring member. CONSTITUTION:A latch 113 being tightly attached to the lock level 111 installed in the upper bracket 109 attached tight to an upper part of a movable rail member 103 is made free of being attached or detached to or from an engaging hole 107 being formed in a longitudinal surface of the sectional L-shaped lock plat 105 attached tight to a lower part of a fixed rail member 101. Both ends of a coiled spring member 2 is supported by a rear end of the lock lever 111 and the upper bracket 109 and installed in the rear end of the lock lever 111, a clearance 3 is formed each there, thereby it energizes the lock lever 111 for rotation and simultaneously energizes the lock lever 111 rearward as far as a portion for this clearance 3 whereby it presses a latch 113 with proper pressure to an end part 117a of a notch 117 of the upper bracket 109.
