MANUFACTURE OF ELECTRODE POLE FOR ENCLOSED TYPE LEAD STORAGE BATTERY

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve liquid-and-airtightness for electrode pole sealing by mechanically grinding the surfaces of continuous sheet-form lead or the like followed by coating them with epoxy resin and further with polyolefin resin for being made into electrode poles. CONSTITUTION:After performing de-fatting treatment on the surface of continuous sheet-form lead or lead alloy, surface oxide is removed by grinding with a wire brush or the like followed by forming grinding scratches. Next, epoxy resin is applied for hardening the surface while further a process of coating with polyolefin resin having a thermal deposition property being applied thereon. Further it is cut into the electrode poles 15 and 15' at a prescribed length for being welded in form of a plate group 14 in order to form an enclosed type lead storage battery by coating the group with a sheet-form armoring body 10. Accordingly, tightness between lead or a lead alloy and epoxy resin is improved to be strong against bending or the like while preventing endosmosis of an electrolytic liquid thus making highly reliable electrode poles.
