In a heating device for electrical hot-air appliances (such as hair driers, drying hoods, fan heaters or the like) at least one resistance-heating wire 13 is helically wound on support edges 12 of a support member 8 which is constructed as a hollow body (to accommodate a fan motor 4 and a control circuit arrangement 29 having a temperature sensor 30 projecting out of the hollow body in to the air-flow emerging from the appliance casing 1 within which the support member 8 is placed) comprising at least two segments 9, 10 which can be separated from one another and are held together by the heating wire 13 with the aid of inter-locking devices. The support edges 12 are the edges of support strips 11 which are received in slots in the segments 9, 10 of the support member 8. Electrical contact elements 20, 22 come together when the fan motor 4 is inserted into the support member 8. Connecting leads are run in ducts in the support member 8 to protect them from heat emitted by the heating wire 13. <IMAGE> |
