<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to leave stability even on a power steering mechanism by constituting the system wherein an actuator is controlled by a steering angle and a predetermined function for steering power is of higher order with an offset for steering power. CONSTITUTION:A torque sensor 6, when a steering wheel 1 has been turned, detects torque working on a pinion 3 via a steering wheel shaft 2, and generates a signal tau. An electric motor 7 gives auxiliary steering power to a rack 4 via a reduction gear mechanism 8 and a pinion 9. When the steering wheel 1 has been turned, electric currents of a predetermined value are fed to the electric motor 7 from a predetermined direction, depending upon the direction and the magnitude of steering power then given, and torque thereby caused from the electric motor 7 is given from the pinion 9 to the rack 4, constituting the auxiliary steering power.</p> |
