PURPOSE:To avoid getting a car into undrivability, by performing a shift-down in the case where it goes down to an undrivable speed in a hold range of a control box. CONSTITUTION:Automatic shift control is carried out with a position of a gear shifting lever 23 in a control box 22 of a transmission. At the time of a hold range, a microcomputer 21 reads a car speed with a car speed sensor and judges whether a car is undrivable or not, and the lever position is shifted down to a drivable gear position. Afterward, a normal hold motion takes place whereby car running keeps up with the gear position. Therefore, an undrivable state due to a drop in the car speed is avoidable. |
