PURPOSE:To mold monolithically a thick flange,by preparing a hollow body having a concave groove by blow molding a synthetic resin parison in a divided mold having a concave groove on the inner surface and by clamping and adhering the concave groove of the hollow body by actuating the mold. CONSTITUTION:The width of a concave groove 17, which is perpendicular to the axial line of the pipe to be prepared, is enlarged by actuating a mold for actuation 14. A mold 11 is then opened and a synthetic resin parison is extruded in the open mold. The mold 11 is thereafter closed and air is blown into the mold through a blowing pin 18. The synthetic resin parison is thereby fully enlarged on the inner surface of the mold to prepare a hollow body having a concave groove. The width of the concave groove 17 is then reduced by actuating the mold for actuation 14 to clamp and adhere the synthetic resin spread on the inner surface of the concave groove 17 of the mold and to prepare a thick flange which is monolithic with the pipe body 1. |
