PURPOSE:To minimize the wastefulness of an ink film without lowering a printing speed, by providing a discharging drive source, which performs only the discharge and accumulation of cut paper after printing outside the apparatus, other than a man drive source. CONSTITUTION:The titled apparatus is constituted so that only a discharge roller 4 for exclusively discharging cut paper 6' after printing to the outside of the apparatus to accumulate the same thereon is separated from a paper feed drive system so as to be made independent and said drive roller 4 is driven by the discharge motor 10 such as a DC motor. One-way clutches for preventing the reverse rotation of a feed roller 3 and a platen roller 2 are respectively provided to timing belt pulleys (a), (b) and used in the drive transmission with the shafts of said pulleys. Because printing and discharge operations are separately performed and an ink film 8 is fed only for a printing period during a T3-period, the wasteful feed of the ink film 8 can be eliminated. Further, discharge operation can be performed in parallel while printing is performed in the T3-period and a printing speed is not lowered. |
