PURPOSE:To reduce a shock, by making an engine speed and a clutch speed almost equal to each other until a half-clutch starting point and, on and after the half-clutch starting point, increasing a feed quantity of fuel to an engine, when a clutch is engaged as shift motions are over. CONSTITUTION:When a clutch is engaged after shift motion, an engine speed is controlled so as to make it equal to a clutch speed at a half-clutch starting point. Therefore, a shock due to a difference between both speeds is made eliminable. In addition, on and after the half-clutch starting point, a control rack of a fuel injection pump 11 is gradually restored to a position corresponding to the operating value of an accelerator pedal 24, whereby a quantity of fuel to an engine is gradually increased. Therefore, immediately after a clutch is engaged, an engine brake is preventable from working, so that a variation in torque due to clutch engagement is checked and a shock is reduced. |
