PURPOSE:To prevent jam or any other failure in the device by furnishing a mode setting inhibiting means, which is to prohibit setting of the automatic two-side copying mode, and a sheet feeder selection inhibiting means which is to prohibit selection of sheet feeder without possibility of sensing the size. CONSTITUTION:When it is finished to store sheets on an intermediate tray 22 and replace original text sheet, a belt 24 is operated to transport the original text sheet stored on said tray 22 till a PS roller 21 via the tow-side copying transport path 34. Thereafter the optical system is operated in synchronization with the rotating timing of a photo-sensitive drum 19, and the roller 21 is rotated to lead the feed sheet from intermediate tray 22 to the processes of transcription. At this time, the rear surface of the sheet faces the photo-sensitive drum 19, and images are formed on both sides of the sheet. At the time of copying on the rear face, a change-over pawl 25 moves downward to cause opening of sheet transport path 32 in a sorter. This allows a pin 16 of sorter 15 to accommodate the sheet with both sides copied, which is exhausted by an exhaust roller 14. |
