PURPOSE:To fix a sample in arbitrary directions with respect to a dividable stationary member of a hollow spherical shape by combining said stationary member and a movable member of a hollow spherical shape in contact with the inside wall thereof. CONSTITUTION:1 is a hollow spherical stationary member constituted of coupled hollow semispheres 1a, 1a. 6 is a movable member of a hollow spherical shape, has a size in close contact with the inside wall surface of the member 1 and is so arranged as to rotate arbitrarily in the member 1. A sample 17 is fixed by a stationary plate 10 and a movable plate 11, and the two semispheres 6a, 6a are mated to one sphere. At this time, bars 9 and 14, as well as projecting parts 7 and recesses 8 are exactly aligned. The movable member 6 assembled in this way is installed at a prescribed angle to the lower semisphere of the member 1. Thereafter, the upper semisphere is put on, and these are fastened by means of bolts 5. The member 6 is thereby fixed to the member 1, and to prevent the occurrence of a slight deviation, both are fixed by means of screws 15. After this, the assembly is fixed in the sample installing part of a vibration testing machine. |
