PURPOSE:To facilitate the running and winding operation with a finely roughened surface of a film by using a specified solvent in the manufacture of a film by pouring after polyetherimide PEI is dissolved into a solvent. CONSTITUTION:Polyether imide is dissolved into a mixed solvent comprising 5wt% or more up to 50wt% or 1,1,2-trichloroethane and methylene chloride for the rest and then, poured. After the pouring of the PEI solution, it is allowed to dry at the temperature of about 60 deg.C-80 deg.C, for example, to remove the solvent by evaporation. A film thus obtained is finely roughened on one side thereof to improve the running property while the other side thereof is so smooth as to be suited to coating or deposition for magnetic material or the like. It is also ideal for recording material base containing no foreign matters such as inorganic particle. |
