PURPOSE:To furnish a polygon mirror motor which is free from locking due to a crack of a magnet or the like even when it rotates at a high speed and which shows excellent efficiency, in relation to a recording apparatus. CONSTITUTION:In a polygon mirror motor, a motor magnet 13' is disposed inside a rotor supporting member 16' and this rotor supporting member 16' is constructed of an insulator such as plastic or ceramic. According to this constitution, the motor magnet 13' is not scattered even when it is cracked in the course of high-speed rotation, motor locking due to the cracked magnet is prevented accordingly, and an eddy current to be generated in the rotor supporting member 16' can be held back. Therefore the polygon mirror motor showing excellent efficiency can be furnished. |
