PURPOSE:To enable construction of an economical testing system of compact size maintaining transmission characteristic unaffected, by installing a switching means between transmission apparatus, electricity/light converting and light/ electricity converting members. CONSTITUTION:On both ends of a single-core optical fiber cable 3 each signal receiving apparatus is connected and two-way time-sharing transmission of a pulse train is performed. By this arrangement, semi-double digital transmission is conducted using the single-core optical fiber cable 3. For a light-pulse test electric switches 17, 19 are changed over to the side of switching terminals 21. 24. Thus, fine electric pulses generated by an electric pulse tester 18 is converted to optical pulses by an electricity/light convertor 14 to be directed into the optical fiber cable 3. And, a reflected beam of light generated at the breaking point of the optical fiber cable is converted in electric waveform by a light/electricity convertor 15 to be introduced into the tester 18 and displayed on a cathode ray tube. |
