PURPOSE:To provide a thermoplastic resin compsn. which is a uniform mixture wherein an acidic elastomeric polymer and a basic arom. polymer are bonded to each other via ionic bonds and which has thermo-plasticity and elasticity, can be thermoformed by a conventional manner and is useful as a modifier for general-purpose resins. CONSTITUTION:The titled compsn. is formed from an acidic elastomeric polymer (a) obtd. by sulfonating an ethylene/alpha-olefin/diene copolymer and a basic arom. polymer (b) mainly composed of an arom. vinyl polymer and contg. a vinyl polymer component contg. a basic nitrogen atom in its molecular chain. As the alpha-olefin of component (a), propylene and 1-butene are preferred.As the diene, cyclic non-conjugated dienes are preferred. The basic arom. polymer (b) includes polymers obtd. by polymerizing an arom. vinyl monomer (e.g. styrene) and introducing an amino group into the aromatic nucleous and copolymers of an arom. vinyl monomer and a basic nitrogen atom-contg. monomer (e.g. vinylpyridine). |
