PURPOSE:To render color reproducibility not inferior to the conventional negative-positive system by using silver halide emulsion layers having at least one of them containing silver chloroiodobromide as silver halide specified in the content of silver bromide in them. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide emulsion layers at least one of them contains silver chloroiodobromide as silver halide having the content of silver bromide in them is 0-65mol%, thus emitting problem of color turbidity caused in a yellow by scanning exposure using laser beams or the like to be solved, and further, the control of gradation, colors, sharpness, graininess, and the like which has been impossible in the conventional neagitive-positive system to be optionally operated with electric signals or digital signal levels, and the high-quality color image which has so far not appeared to be obtained.
