PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of knocking and lowering of produced torque, by providing a memory means for learning and storing a learned spark retardation angle, and a final spark advance setting means for determining a final spark advance and delivering an ignition signal. CONSTITUTION:A spark retardation amount computing means (e) computes a compensated spark retardation amount, and fixes the compensated spark retardation amount to a predetermined value at a specified time. A memory means (f) learns and stores a learned spark retardation amount for compensating a basic spark advance. A final spark advance setting means (g) compensate the basic spark advance in accordance with the compensated spark retardation amount and the learned spark retardation amount to determine a final spark advance, and delivers an ignition signal. Thus, it is possible to prevent occurrence of knocking and lowering of produced torque, and therefore, it is possible to enhance the performance of the engine. |
