The system germinates seed or grows a plant from a seed on growth tissue. The seed or tissue is placed on one side of a plug-shaped water-absorbent body on the bottom of a seedbed. The body (1) is of mineral wool and can have a high degree of micro-homogeneity. After growth or germination, the plug can be planted in a recess in a component of mineral wool for further growth. |
