PURPOSE:To permit measurement with high accuracy by adopting the difference in the min. value among the electromotive force values and temps. measured at specified time intervals and deviated time zones in the stage of reading the oxygen content of a metal by immersing a probe united with an oxygen concn. cell and thermocouple into the molten metal in a converter, etc. CONSTITUTION:The reading of the oxygen content in the molten metal contained in the converter, ladle, etc. by immersing the probe united with the oxygen concn. cell and thermocouple into the molten metal is executed in the following manner: The start point and end point of the measurement are determined by taking the service life of the thermocouple and the electromotive force values and temps. at about 5 points are read at specified time intervals during this time. The read time zone is then shifted and the read values of about 5 points are similarly obtd. The difference in the min. value is used as the reference for measurement. Then the measured value of the period when the variance is smallest is eventually obtd. and the measurement with the high accuracy is made possible. |
