PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a processor by dividing instructions executed by the processor into operators and operands and storing operators and operands in a ROM and a RAM respectively. CONSTITUTION:Registers other than a program counter and an accumulator are omitted in a CPU 1 as the processor. Instructions executed by the CPU 1 are divided into operator parts and operand parts, and operators are stored in a ROM 2, and operands are stored in a RAM 3. In this case, operators and operands stored divisionally in the ROM 2 and the RAM 3 are joined virtually in an address space accessed hy the CPU 1 by an address converting circuit 5. Thus, the RAM 3 where operands are stored in allowed to function as an index register.
|
