PURPOSE:To achieve the shortening of recording time by irradiation a with large quantity of ions within a short time, by making the interval between electrodes in the side near to an ion generation means wider than that between electrodes in the side remote from the ion generation means. CONSTITUTION:Voltage is applied to upper and lower electrodes 2a, 2b so as to set the lower electrode 2b to +. When high voltage is applied to a charge wire 5 from a high-voltage power source 7, a - ion generates from the wire 5. Because a charge wire 6 is earthed, said case 6 is not charged even if the -ion generates; a cover film 3 is charged by the - ion generated in the wire 5. Because of this, the electric field shown by arrows generates between the charged cover film 3 around an ion-piercing hole 4 and the charge wire 5. The -ion is flowed into the ion-piercing hole 4 by said electric field and further advances to recording paper passing below the lower electrode 2b. Because the diameter phiD1 of the lower electrode 2b is wider than the diameter phiD2 of the upper electrode 2a, a larger quantity of ions can be concentrated to the interior of the ion-piercing hole 4. |
