PURPOSE:To perform recording with good reproducibility by well developing the function of a temp. compensation system, by using a recording liquid which has characteristics capable of keeping the viscosity thereof with a predetermined range over the temp. range in an ink jet recording head undergoing the compensation of temp. CONSTITUTION:The concentration of the dye as the component of the recording agent in a recording liquid is appropriately selected from a range of 0.1-4.0wt% in normal use. A water-soluble solvent capable of adjusting the viscosity of the recording liquid by changing the composition of said recording liquid is the component of the solvent of a dye and acts as a wetting agent for preventing the clogging of a liquid droplet emitting orifice. As the water-soluble solvent, for example, there are methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, etc. and the content thereof is generally set to a range of 5-95% by wt. of the total amount of the recording liquid. As the effective one as the water-soluble solvent and a viscosity controller, 2-pyrrolidone etc. are designated. The recording liquid consisting of the above-mentioned fundamental components is prepared so that the viscosity thereof at temp. for the compensation of temp. effected by a temp. compensation means is always set to a range of 3-30cp. |
