<p>The process consists of (a) feeding a glass fibre yarn from supply bobbin; (b) impregnating the yarn with polyester resin; (c) untwisting the yarn to separate the fibres; (d) winding the impregnated yarn spirally on rotating core, crossing it in opposed directions; and (d) drying the tube formed by polymerising the resin, applying a polymerising agent and keeping the core in rotation on its shaft so that the resin thickness is uniform. - It is of use for making handles for kitchen scourers and mops, and similar.</p> |
