摘要 PURPOSE:To provide an optical information recording medium having high reflectance and recording sensitivity, capable of stable writing and reproduction of optical signals, having high stability to light and moisture at the time of reproduction and not generating environmental pollution, by providing a recording layer comprising a specified coloring matter. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer comprising a coloring matter of the general formula is provided as a thin film on a base by using a solution of the coloring matter in ethyl acetate, toluene, acetone or other similar solvent. Although the recording sensitivity increases with decreasing thickness of the recording layer, the reflectance depends on the film thickness, and accordingly, the film thickness is set within the range of 10-1,000nm. The base may be a glass, a platic film or polyimide film. When a binder resin is added to the coloring matter in an amount of 1-40wt% in forming the recording layer, it is possible to enhance film-forming properties, heat resistance and moisture resistance. The binder resin may be, for example, an acrylic resin or an ester resin. It is also possible to enhance the film-forming properties heat resistance, moisture resistance or light resistance by adding other coloring matter to the binder resin.
