Compds. of formula(I) and their acid addn. salts were prepd. by the reduction of (II) in the presence of Ni. In(I) one of R and R1 is H and the other is CONH2; and R2 and R3 are H, Me, Et or nPr. (I) are dopamine antagonists and so are useful for inhibiting prolactin secretion, alleviating the symptoms of Parkinsonism and reducing blood pressure levels in mammals having elevated levels. Dose is 0.01-10mg/kg taken orally.
