SUPPORTING STRUCTURE FOR FLEXIBLE FLYWHEEL

PURPOSE:To smoothly vibrate a flywheel by supporting a flywheel by means of a spherical bearing with the center of mass of the flywheel coinciding with its center of vibration. CONSTITUTION:A flywheel 12 is oscillatorily connected to the rear end of a crankshaft 10 by means of a spherical bearing. The flywheel 12 oscillates round the center of oscillation P1 of the spherical bearing 40 in an arrow A direction, and a distance between the center of oscillation P1 and the center of mass P2 is sharply shortened. Thus, when the flywheel 12 is oscillated, the moment of inertia of the flywheel 12 around the center P1 decreases according to the sharp shortening of a distance between the center P1 and P2 to improve the responsibility and convergence of the oscillation.
