摘要 PURPOSE:To enable the manufacture of a thin magnet at a high yield rate by a method wherein an alloy containing no B is welded and cast, and after it is processed into the prescribed shape, the B is diffused. CONSTITUTION:After an R-Fe alloy containing no B is processed in advance into the shape which can be put to practical use as a permanent magnet, B is diffused. A cold and hot working can be performed easily on the R-Fe alloy containing no B such as NdFe alloy, for example, when compared with the alloy containing B. The C-axis of a tetragonal system R2Fe14B alloy can be grown in a fixed direction by performing a B-diffusion using a vapor phase-solid phase reaction, and the alloy can be brought into the state of anisotropy. R is the combination of the rare-earth element such as Nd and/or Pr and La, Ce, didym, Dy, Tb and the like. As a result, a thin magnet can be manufactured at an excellent yield rate.
