The tool is derived from an electric hand tool of the type producing a reciprocating motion. The saw blade holder is replaced by a carrier which can accept a wide range of tools appropriate to a variety of applications, for example : building, metal working, woodwoorking or car body work. The tools allow many operations, for example chiselling, morticing, scissoring, filing, sawing and rivetting; or alternatively a brush or spatula may be fitted for gluing or coating. The tools may be used with existing electronic controllers and with depth control fittings.
