<p>PURPOSE:To avoid an influence of the inertia of a motor in a high speed running, by adding or subtracting a differentiated output of a torque sensor to the output of a function generator which outputs a current command generated on a steering torque by converting according to the car speed. CONSTITUTION:A steering torque inflicted to a handle 1 is detected by a torque sensor 2, and depending on its output, a command current (the assist force) responding to the steering power is decided in a function generator 13, while the command current is corrected responding to the car speed. The output of the torque sensor 2 is also input to a differential circuit 14, and the output is added to the output of the function generator 13. After that, the added value is corrected by the output of a steering angle sensor 12 in a steering angle correcting circuit 15 to restore the handle 1 to make the car run in the straight direction. The output of the circuit 15 is detected in a positive/negative deciding circuit 16 to decide whether the value is positive or negative, and if it is positive, for example, a motor 7 is driven to turn to the right, and the motion is added to the steering mechanism through a decelerator 10 as a steering assist force.</p> |
