PURPOSE:To improve the speediness of focus adjustment by judging immediately that a mounted interchangeable lens can not be put in focus and in forming the moving direction of the optical system in the interchangeable lens for focusing. CONSTITUTION:An AF converter A is mounted between a camera body with a focusing detection part and the interchangeable lens B which does not have an AF function. Then, a focusing movement extent calculating means PMCM calculates focuses subject light passed through the 2nd optical system CL and then calculates the necessary focusing movement extent X of the optical system CL. A current position data output means PDOM, on the other hand, outputs current data Lp on the optical system CL and an end position data output means EDOM outputs extension end position data Lmax on the optical system CL or end position data L0 on extension. Then, if focusing control is impossible only by the movement of the optical system CL, a focusing control decision means PCJM judges the failure in focusing from said data. Consequently, the 1st optical system moving direction display means FMDDM displays the moving direction of the 1st optical system L. |
