<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to transmit a large torque, by separating and pressing in the axial direction at least one roller of a system furnished with sun rollers, planetary rollers, and a ring roller which have approximately V shape friction surfaces. CONSTITUTION:This electric-powered steering device decelerates the rotation of a rotor 37 of a motor 33 through a decelerating mechanism 50 and transmits the rotation to an output shaft 7 through carrier members 54 and 64. The decelerating mechanism 50 consists of two-stage planetary roller systems 51 and 52, each of which consists of a ring roller 53, sun rollers 56 and 62, planetary rollers 54 and 63, and the like. In this case, rollers 53, 54, 56, 62, and 63 are formed to have friction surfaces with grooves of approximately V shape in section which can be geared each other. Moreover, the rollers 53, 54 and 63 can be separated in the axial direction at the top of each V shape groove which is at the friction surface 53b...,54b... and the separated members 53a...,54a... can be pressed in the axial direction independently and respectively.</p> |
