PURPOSE:To obtain an expanded field of vision instantly as necessary, by rotating a mirror unit depending on a signal to detect the running condition of a car, and converting plural mirror surfaces of different surface forms furnished at the mirror unit. CONSTITUTION:When a car tuns to the right, for example, in a running condition, a turn signal switch 17 is turned to blink the right side turn signal. As a result, the operation signal is input to a control 15 which activates a driver 14A to convert a mirror 3A of the right side door mirror 1A into a convex mirror to expand the field of vision of the right rear side, and converts the mirror 3A again to the original plain mirror when the turn switch 17 returns back. At the same time, a steering angle detector 18 converts the mirror in the steering side to expand the field of vision of the steering side when the steering angle exceeds a specific value, even when the switch 17 is not turned. Moreover, a car speed detector 19 also expands the field of vision depending on the car speed. |
