PURPOSE:To eliminate the inclination of surfaces and to facilitate adjustment by manufacturing a rotary polygon mirror by molding a polygon mirror and its rotating shaft or bearing part in one body. CONSTITUTION:The rotating shaft 10 is set in the center of a metallic mold for forming the polygon mirror 9 of specific size and hard thermosetting plastic is injected around the rotating shaft 10 and pressed to obtain the rotary polygon mirror body 11 consisting of the polygon mirror 9 formed of plastic and the rotating shaft 10 in one body. At this time, a collar part 10a is provided to the rotating shaft 10 while embedded in the plastic of the polygon mirror 9. Consequently, the polygon mirror 9 and rotating shaft 10 are united securely. |
