The invention relates to an improved friction wheel for lighters. It consists of three parts 10, 11, 11' which fit together and can be mounted on one another by pressure, where the part of the wheel 10 is formed in one block with a grooved friction part 12 and two central journal parts 14, 14' which are shaped and aligned one after the other along an axis, their respective axial ends 15, 15' projecting beyond the radial end faces of the journals, and constituting a single monobloc piece, and two flanges 11, 11', the circumference being grooved. The faces 16 are flat and smooth and comprise a central bore 18 which allows the fitting of a flange under pressure on the journal part 14 of the friction wheel.
