<p>PURPOSE:To quicken the retrieval time by recording a control signal so that the phase of adjacent inclined tracks is coincident with each other onto plural preceding or succeeding inclined tracks to an inclined track on which information is recorded. CONSTITUTION:A reproducing signal from an erasure rotary head 14 is fed to a band pass filter 28, where a frequency component of a control signal is separated and detected by a detection circuit 29. A detection signal by the detection circuit 29 is outputted to a control means 30 such as a microcomputer. In retrieving music, since a magnetic tape runs at faster speed than that at recording, the erasure rotary head 14 traces the track to cross it, and since the control signal is recorded so that the phases of adjacent tracks are coincident with each other, the reproducing signal is nearly sinusidal. The control means 30 compares the detection signal with the inputted signal to retrieve prescribed music. Even when the magnetic tape is run at a fast speed to retrieve prescribed information, the control signal is detected easily.</p> |
