PURPOSE:To recognize easily an image forming range with an original set by moving back and forth an indicating means in accordance with an image formable range corresponding to the magnification set by a magnification setting means and flickering a transmitted light for a prescribed time in both ends of this movement. CONSTITUTION:When a magnification set key 306 and a zoom key 307 on a scanning panel 30 are operated to obtain a copiable range, indexes 51 and 52 are moved along a fixed scale 21, and the length between them coincides with the copiable range. The first carriage 411 moves a spot light source 131 to a position corresponding to the obtained copiable range in the (y) direction. In this state, the spot light source 131 is moved to a position corresponding to the index 51 by driving of a motor 135 and is lit for a prescribed time. The spot light source 131 is extinguished thereafter and is moved to the position of the index 52 along the first carriage 411 and is flickered for a prescribed time to display the copiable range corresponding to the set copy magnification. Thus, the copiable range is recognized easily though it is covered with the set original. |
