PURPOSE:To provide a titled construction for a piping which prevents combustion due to oxygen and scale deposition and permits easy and inexpensive formation of a perfect joint by fitting a tubular body having good heat conductivity and fire retardance in a steel pipe which connects always an oxygen supply device and a converter is series. CONSTITUTION:A copper pipe 5 as a tubular body having good heat conductivity and fire retardance to oxygen is lined in a carbon steel pipe 4 constituting a piping body for supplying oxygen and a bevel 11 is formed at the end of the pipe 4; at the same time, the end of the inside pipe 5 is machined to recess the end thereof inward by a set distance from said bevel 11. The ends of both pipes are sealed by fillet welding 12, thereby forming double pipes 10. The pipes 10 are combined with the multiple pipes 4, 4- of steel pipes 1 at a set ratio and in an intervening position, then both bevels 11, 11 are butted and welded joints 6, 6 are formed, whereby an oxygen supply pipe 3 is formed. Said pipe 3 which is connected with the pipes 4 into continuous series and interposed with the pipe 5 as a fire retardant material to oxygen in the set position is connected and interposed between an oxygen supply device and a converter. |
