<p>Device for the compression or compaction of bulk products with highly variable densities in the absence of any binder, at high predetermined pressures, in order to obtain solid bodies of the type comprising a compression chamber having a hollow housing intended to receive the product to be compressed and consisting of an enclosure (1) with a regular polygonal cross section wherein is arranged, in a common plane, a series of moving jaws (2) of which the number is equal to that of the sides of the cross section of the enclosure and which are each movable in a direction parallel to one of the sides of the cross section of said enclosure (1) and define an inner hollow housing having the same cross section as said enclosure, the configuration of the jaws being such that when at least one of them is displaced, the others are also displaced, the device being characterized in that it comprises means to control simultaneously and in perfect synchronism the displacement of the assembly of jaws (2) in two opposite directions which are parallel to an enclosure wall on adjustable distances which optionally make it possible to reduce practically down to zero the cross section of said hollow housing in said plane, movable flaps (4, 5) controlled in a plane parallel to the plane of the jaws being provided to close or open, one of them, the upper loading opening, and the other one the lower unloading opening of said hollow housing.</p> |
