The invention relates to an apparatus for detachably connecting rotating plates to potter's wheels. The apparatus consists of an adaptor 2 with a horizontal bearing plate 4 on one surface 8 of which detent means 9 are formed for detachable connection to a rotating plate. On the other surface 10 of the bearing plate 4, at the periphery, is a web 11 projecting above the surface 10 with clamping means 12 for the friction-proof but detachable connection of the adaptor 2 to a potter's wheel (Fig. 4). <IMAGE>
