PURPOSE:To produce a color filter without using a liquid process neither requiring superposition by dyeing the inside or the surface of a transparent film with coloring matters by the thermal transfer method. CONSTITUTION:A transparent film 4 is laminated on an ink film 5 and is heated by a thermal head 6 to transfer coloring matters of the ink film 5 to the transparent film 4. The ink film 5 consists of a base body 51 and an ink layer 52, and coloring matters of a dye, a pigment, or the like are included in the ink layer 52. If a sublimable dye is used as coloring matters, coloring matters are easily controlled by the heating energy. Red, green, and blue are used as hues of coloring matters, and for example, the ink film colored red, green, and blue divisionally is used, and parts of individual colors are laminated on the transparent film successively, and the transparent film is heated in a pattern by a heating body like a thermal head, thus obtaining the color filter. |
