PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer ink sheet prevented from stickiness, by applying fine particulate silica to the back surface of a sheet by using a high-molecular substance having a release property as a binder. CONSTITUTION:As a stickiness preventing agent preventing stickiness due to a thermal head, a composition containing fine particulate silica and/or fine particulate silica made hydrophobic by the surface treatment due to a silane coupling agent and consisting of other powdery component and an adhesive is used to be applied to the surface of a base material opposite to the ink coating surface thereof. After the above mentioned stickiness preventing agent was applied to a film with a thickness of 3-30mum comprising polyester, polycarbonate, triacetyl cellulose, nylon or polyimide, thermal transfer ink is applied to the opposite surface thereof to form a thermal transfer ink sheet. The stickiness preventing agent for the thermal transfer ink sheet contains 0.2-25wt% of silica fine particles. |
