The invention relates to a device for simultaneously transmitting a plurality of electric signals, said device comprising two connection units (10 and 12) connected by optical fibers (14, 16). The parallel electric signals (20) are transformed into a series data stream by a circuit (26) so that a single optical fiber (14) transmits the whole of the signals. The latter are then brought back by a rallel form and transformed into electric signals provided to connection elements (36). There is a biunivocal relationship between the input connection elements of a connection unit and the output connection elements of the other connection unit.
