In the course of the final installation of heavy turbocompressor or fan impellers attached to a unilaterally horizontally supported shaft, said impellers are suspended from L-shaped assembly mounts. Said assembly mount is attached in turn via a resilient element to the lifting tackle, the resilient element being dimensioned so as to bring about such a substantial unloading in terms of weight in the assembly position that, when the impeller is fixed to the shaft, accurate centring is ensured via a crown gear.
