<p>PURPOSE:To attain ease of localization of a faulty transmission line section and a repeater by providing a supervisory signal generator et each repeater and a switch operated by a detection signal between an incoming and an outgoing transmission line. CONSTITUTION:Switches 13a, 13b are connected when each section such as terminal stations 1, 2, repeaters 2, 3, incoming and outgoing transmission lines 5, 6 or each part of other transmission system is normal and a supervisory signal of supervisory signal generators 12a, 12b is displayed on supervisory devices 8a, 8b. If a fault takes place in a line amplifier 10a of the outgoing transmission line 5 of the n-th repeater 2, it is detected by a terminal station 4 by the decrease in the display value of a level display device 9a but the repeaters 2, 3 are not localized. When a fluctuation of 2dB is produced to an output of a pilot signal of a pilot signal generator 7a due to the fault of the line amplifier 10a of the n-th repeater 2, the switch 13b is disconnected by the detection signal of the detector 11a, the display corresponding in the supervisory display 8b is extinguished and the terminal station 1 localizes the faulty repeater 10a.</p> |
